I'm an EU student. How do I register my residence in Bari?

What it is
Registering your residence with the "Comune di Bari" (Bari's city council), at its registry office, the "Anagrafe". This is for EU students only, whether you're here for a full degree or on exchange.
Why you need it
As an EU student you don't apply for a residence permit. Registering with the city is what you do instead.
When
In your first two weeks, once you have your codice fiscale.
What you need first
- A valid passport or ID card, and a photocopy
- Proof that you have enough money, such as a scholarship certificate or a bank statement
- Proof of health insurance, such as your European Health Insurance Card
- Your codice fiscale
Ask a student
Ask an EU student who has registered how long it took and what the office asked to see in practice. A page can list the required documents; a student who has done it can tell you how the visit went for them.
