What it is
The emergency numbers that work anywhere in Italy, from any phone.
Why you need it
In a real emergency you need the right number without hesitating, and knowing it works with no SIM or PIN means a dead phone plan or a locked screen is never the reason you cannot call.

Save these before you need them, ideally in your first week.
What you need first
- Nothing; any phone works, even with no SIM inserted and without unlocking it first
Ask a student
Ask whether they have ever had to use one of these numbers, and what actually happened when they called, since knowing the number is not the same as knowing what to expect.
