How do I enrol on Esse3 and pay the first instalment?
What it is
"Immatricolazione" (enrolment), done online on Esse3. It's for degree students only, not exchange or Erasmus students.
Why you need it
Paying the first instalment is what makes your enrolment count. You also need the Esse3 enrolment declaration for your residence permit kit.
When
By 30 November 2026 for open-access programmes. After that, online enrolment closes, late payment carries penalties, and you can't use university services. If your visa makes you late, email the International Students Office as soon as you know.

- Your codice fiscale
- Scans of your documents
Ask a student
Ask how long their PagoPA payment took to clear. A page can list the payment methods, but a student who has paid can tell you how long you're left waiting before anything else moves.
